They Don’t Make A Card For That

004

Not one of these say thank you for:

Being there sometimes

For abandoning me when the only thing I need was a parent

For my 7 years in foster care

Visiting me when you didn’t have better things to do

Putting your wants before your children’s needs

Looking out for Number One

For making us number 2, 3, and 4

Occasionally sacrificing a little, as long as it was not too inconvenient, or make you too uncomfortable

Nope, not one of them…I know, I checked.

that must be hard. {{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}} At least you have broken the cycle; it is so clear from your blog what a great mom you are
There are no cards that cover a none Hallmark life. Lee is right - you broke the cycle. Wishing you peace today.

so true Sunday.......
Hugs. They should make cards for people (like you) who didn't have a fair chance in life and turned out to be awesome anyway.

yes reading through this blog i can see you're breaking the cycle--i feel amazed and in awe at that.
the card selection is just another reminder of what kind of parents we had and didn't have... and i find that really painful too.
hang in there.

much care
There might be a reason why parents abandon their children and I think that they just do it to make your life better. There are parents that are not ready in taking care of their children that is why they decided to abandon them. I must say that even your parents did that to you, you must always be thankful for seeing the world.

It sounds like mother's day was tough. I'm glad it's over. I've always had trouble finding the right father's day card. I usually just buy a blank one, so I can write "happy father's day" and nothing else.

I totally agree on what you said. I thought that too. I was a mother and it is really hard for me to celebrate without my husband ):
I'm so sorry. You should buy yourself an "I made it through and am still awesome" card.
I struggle with Mother's Day too. I just try and focus on me being a mom and how I am doing a much better job then mine did. (not that the bar is so high.)
