My Fire Truck Luck

 From My FaceBook

·         Sunday Koffron Taylor - Our CO detector went off at 2:00 am, so we got a late night visit from 4 hot guys in a red truck. (Today)
  • Angie -   lmao our CO detector goes off at least once a week and it's fire department issued! Remember my husband is a fireman, so I get a visit from one hot guy!

·          Sunday - Ours had never gone off before and we had just had work done on our furnace so I figured it was better to be safe than dead. I just love a man in uniform!

·          Jill - at least if you had to be up that early you got something pretty to look at!!

·          Angie - OK well now I have my hubby in uniform on my profile, shall I send you his calendar? ;)

·          Sunday- Yep! Goody, goody!

·          Lauren - Nice! You always get the hot guys in fire trucks and ambulances! I get drunken idiots!

·          Sunday - Girl, I have had my fair share of drunken idiots,  it is called paying your dues, my dear.  (I am kicking myself that I didn't take any pictures.)

What is my dear Lauren talking about?   This:

Me doing what every responsible mother does in a crisis...
9/22/09

·          Sara WTF?

·          Amy K W - Way to go. He is CUTE!

·          Sunday - Ha Ha the other one was even better looking!

  • Lauren - The caption should have been "My future nephew in-law"

Yep, that is right, last year I got a call while I was at work that my 11 year-old had taken a nasty fall, was being rushed to the hospital with a neck injury and the EMS was on their way.  I got there just in time to crawl into the ambulance to ride with her to the hospital.  And after I ascertained that she was obviously breathing and could move her fingers and toes, I did what any reasonable person would do in a crisis…

I stared cracking jokes, snapping pictures and up-loading them to FaceBook on the ride to the hospital.

Luckily she got away with only a torn ligament, a neck brace and a week off of school.  Well, that and a great shot to show the grand kids some day.

About a week later we were watching a competition on TV, when one of the gymnasts landed on her head, I started sobbing uncontrollably.  My poor daughter was so confused “Why are you crying now, you don’teven know her and you were making jokes and taking pictures when I got hurt?”
“Well silly, if I would have been crying then you would have been really freaked out.”
“Oh”

Laughter's the best medicine!

I know right?
Her coach was very disappointed that I showed up in time to ride with my daughter; she was looking forward to the ride.

I have to be careful or my husband is going to get suspicious, LOL!

Better to laugh than cry…
